Oil & Filter Change
For most people, their most important asset is their house. Next is their car. All cars come with a maintenance schedule. Following the maintenance schedule is an effortless way to keep your car fresh for longer. The most important part of keeping your car running like new is the oil change. It is also the most neglected part. Most people intend to change their oil – but don’t.
Did you know that most of the moving parts inside your engine never actually touch each other? They float on a thin layer of oil. The oil lubricates your engine parts and reduces friction and wear on the parts that move. Oil also helps keep the parts cool by carrying away heat as it travels, but conventional oil is organic. As time goes on it begins to break down and slowly loses its ability to lubricate, causing unnecessary wear and even damage to your engine.
Oil can also leak away as breaks down. Low engine oil can not only cause excessive engine wear, but higher temperatures. The easiest way to prevent this is to check the engine oil whenever you stop for gas.
Several car companies recommend the use of synthetic oil or a synthetic blend. Synthetic oil is an inorganic compound that does not break down under heat and stress.
